Custom Imaging Services:

Custom Aerial and Terrestrial Architectural Photo Missions:
A typical custom photo mission produces approximately 5-10 select final images in either digital or film format (or both) depending upon the situation. We can provide oblique and near-vertical images from a variety of altitudes to best portray the subject. Prior to flying, we need to gather detailed information from you. Then we will provide a detailed quote including:

  • Careful determination of the customer's needs and requirements.
  • Land-based preflight research and location of the subject and assessment of the surrounding environment, flight safety, and whether any special airspace issues, noise abatement, or flight restrictions exist.
  • Estimate of plane, pilot and photographer time to travel to the mission site.
  • Estimate of plane, pilot and photographer time on station for the shoot.
  • Estimate of post-production and shipping costs.
  • Negotiation of copyright licensing rights (if so desired).

Custom Photo Mission Pricing:
Prices are dependent upon a number of factors including:

  • Intended use of the images and license to copy
  • Format desired . . . Digital Files, Prints, Film Transparencies
  • Distance from our home base in southern Maine
  • Use of fixed-wing (less expensive) vs. helicopter (more expensive)
  • Airspace issues, restrictions, ATC and security coordination
  • We charge standard 1/2 and whole day rates plus expenses for land-based assignments

A word on what we are not:
We are not a satellite. We do not provide fuzzy, high altitude, grainy, poorly framed, poorly lit, generic, government surplus, stale, or otherwise unhelpful "photographs".

We are not Aerial Mappers. If you want high-quality, scaleable, vertical images for mapping purposes, contact Eastern Topographic at www.e-topo.com.

Quote:
A word on Construction Progress Photography from a building contractor:

"A picture is worth 1000 words. We can look back at our dated photos and answer many questions about who was on site and when. We can tell how much work was done at certain times for cost analysis vs. invoices. We can tell if certain items like stone or primer were installed before final surfaces. Last week we traced a slope failure parallel to a water line. The parallel line only showed up in the aerial picture because it was far enough away. My boss can write a quick extensive punch list by looking at a picture. He will know the job status and immediately start asking questions to make sure we have covered our bases . . ."
