About Us:

David A. Hamel received a BA in Music from Hampshire College in Amherst , Massachusetts in 1981. He is also a graduate of the New York Institute of Photography’s professional photography program. Mr. Hamel holds an multi-engine airplane Airline Transport Pilot certificate, a single engine airplane Commercial Pilot certificate, and is a Certified Flight Instructor qualified to teach in both single and multi-engine airplanes. He founded Northstar Aerial Photo to share the special perspective of low altitude oblique aerial photography in both scenic stock photographs and custom commissioned works. His studio is located in the woods of York , Maine , and he welcomes clients to come visit to both view his completed works and to discuss new assignments.
